As a dedicated tutor in a small group educational setting, my mission is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
I aim to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence by tailoring instruction to individual needs while encouraging collaboration and mutual respect within the group.
Through personalised attention and a commitment to academic excellence, I strive to inspire a lifelong love of learning and help students build the skills they need to succeed both inside and outside the small group setting.
Who We Are
Joanne Connolly -
As an experienced educator of 31 years, with 23 years spent serving as a vice principal and principal in primary education, I bring a wealth of leadership, instructional expertise, and a deep commitment to fostering excellence in teaching and learning.
Having experienced and excelled through three ETI inspections, I gained a wealth of knowledge and very valuable experience, all of which made me a better teacher and leader.
My lessons have consistently been described by as “best practice,” reflecting my dedication to creating engaging, innovative, and highly effective learning experiences. I strive to tailor my teaching to meet the diverse needs of every pupil, combining academic rigor with creative approaches that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
The cornerstone of my work has always been the relationships I build with pupils. I pride myself on creating a classroom atmosphere that is both positively challenging and warm. My approach balances high expectations with genuine care and encouragement, ensuring that every child feels supported to reach their full potential. By cultivating trust and mutual respect, I empower students to take ownership of their learning, build confidence, and develop resilience.
As a tutor, I aim to bring the same level of dedication, expertise, and passion to small group or individual instruction. My goal is to help every child thrive academically and personally, fostering a lifelong love of learning in an environment where they feel safe, valued, and inspired.
